  1. So how much do you want to spend?
  2. What is to be included in that budget?
  3. Are you buying in the US?

Canada and it will just be the build no operating system or peripherals

And I have no budget I just wan the most bang for buck definitely not over $2000 though

So I would be using it mainly for gaming also no peripherals or OS, 1 monitor and I live in Canada and I would mainly play some triple a games at 1080p and I just need it less than $2000 because I want to know what pc components are the best value for the money so price to performance

this is what i would build, vastly overkill for 1080p though...this 980ti is more suited for 1440p...so if you plan to stick to 1080p you might want a cheaper graphics card...GTX 970/980 or R9 390/390X for example:

I would wait to see what Nvidia introduces in the next few months. But right now, an AMD gpu is the better buy for 1080 game play.

This build has an oversize psu to allow for a second gpu should it ever be required. The case front panel lighting color is user selectable.

Here is what I reccomend. I'll list my rationale for each major component. As you can tell I went for upgradability over straight up never upgrade overkill...

  • The 6600k is currently a great bang for the buck CPU and the z170 platform will offer upgrades up to the i7 6700k and possibly even Kabylake
  • The dual channel kit of 8gb will be fine for now but offered an easy upgrade to 16gb
  • 500gb for a boot drive is good. You will have heaps of room for applications and games and stuff. I also included a 1tb WD Black for relatively fast mass storage. Another mechanical drive or SSD can always be added later.
  • The 970 (and 390) is the best mid range card as of now. You can always upgrade to Polaris or Pascal later.
  • Case and fans are just good options.
  • Psu is another good option with no real faults
