What's up guys? My current build is this:

-Xeon E3-1230v3

-ASUS Strix 970

-ASUS Vanguard B85 motherboard

-Corsair LP 1600 DDR3 16GB

-256GB Samsung 850 Pro

-WD 2TB Red Pro HDD

-Seasonic SS-520FL2 PSU

-be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 (with no fans)

-4x 120mm be quiet! Silent Wings 2 fans

Obviously 520W is plenty for what I'm using, however, recently I've been wanting to get into streaming and I'm having some performance issues while recording(still need to upgrade my Internet before I start streaming, but I'm planning on upgrading the PC before the Internet). Anyway, I recently did a bit of overclocking my GPU with GPU Tweak which is working out really well, and I have finally come to the realization that my original presumption that a Xeon E3-1230v3 would be all the CPU I need was actually incorrect. And of course I went with a standard motherboard as well, so I've decided if I'm upgrading, I'm moving on to a new socket.

Planned build is:

-i7 5820K(overclocked to at least 4.2GHz)

-Same GPU slightly overclocked(the same as LTT's GPU overclocking spreadsheet)

-Not sure what X99 motherboard I'll go with

-16GB DDR4(not sure what kind at this point)

-Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD

-WD 2TB Red Pro HDD

-Corsair H100i

-Most likely some be quiet! Silent Wings 2 fans

So yeah, would the 520FL2 be enough power for what I'm planning on doing here? If not, do you think I'd be able to do a 4790K OC'd to ~4.6GHz and still get good performance streaming and playing music while gaming?

Yup, that PSU is still plenty.

You're good. 520W is enough and the Seasonic SS is a great unit.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
