I am looking for a relatively cheap smartphone. Not interested in a contract, would like to buy upfront. I am thinking of the iPhone SE, as I already have invested a bit in Apple's ecosystem - Games, a couple of books, songs. I have 2 questions:

1. Are there any Android phones at a similar price to the iPhone SE that are much better (as I would have to rebuy some apps etc if I went android)?

2. How much could I get out of just 16GB?

Thanks

If i recall correctly, ios 9 leaves about 11gb free out of the 16gb memory. For me that is enough space, you can install a lot of apps, a few big apps, or shoot fullhd video for quite some time.

I will take photos/video about.... never. Lol. Would 16GB be enough for a decent sized itunes library, apps like news, weather, evernote, etc, and 1 or 2 games/films on itunes?

You could look up the sizes in itunes/app store. The apps you mentioned should be small.

It depends most hd films take around 3gb of data. If you have very few apps and no photos or video (because the camera is higher res now) you may just be able to but you will have to be proactive about cutting down on the data you use.

LG G4. It is like $349 USD, and it has an awesome camera plus a mSD so you can store ton of photos in there. Not to mention, it comes in standard 32GB storage, so it is plenty enough for apps.

Although the LG Software is a bit annoying, if you can get passed it. Then it is literally a best value smartphone IMO.
