CPU and GPU Normal Temps

Evoked ピーター

I just built my computer and im worried on temps. On Idle on medium fan settings (Define R5)  and using a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO, my cpu is 24/24/21/19 degrees Celsius *i5 6600k at 3.5 - 3.9ghz (keeps changing)*. When playing CS:GO the temp goes to 44/45/37/38 degrees Celsius

My gpu AMD ASUS HD7950 DCII on idle is 45 degrees Celsius. When playing counter strike It goes up to max 60-69

Are these normal temps or should I be worried? (My 7950 is quite old, maybe 5 years now, and is slightly dusty inside but cant get to it)

It's normal for under load, for idle it is a LITTLE high compared to my 7950 machine but your setup might be a bit different.

Your temps are more than nominal for any CPU.

You actually have a decent bit of headroom. I've found that as long as you're below 85*C on both CPU and GPU, you're golden. My evga 970 oc ran at around 78-79c and never had an issue.

Yeah. Until you get a gaming laptop where all the internals chill at a toasty 85-95C since manufacturers tune them to sit as fast as possible RIGHT on the edge of the thermal throttling envelope. Its within safety parameters for the chips but makes me really uneasy :D.

Normal temps for the load. Do some stress test to see if there actually is issue. Which I doubt.

What stress test program would you recommend?

OCCT for CPU and Heaven/Valley for GPU.
