Over a few months i been building a pc and i decided to go with a silent case, and well although i love this case, but it just doesnt do good enough. my temps are already high even with a 280 rad AIO. If you would like to see the build log and whats in my pc then heres a link.

Anyway, Im needing a few things in the new case. 1. is that i need enough room for at least 3 rads for water cooling. 2 360s and a 240 or 280 rad or more. I would like it to be silent, but i know where thats gotten me so far. The next thing is that i want it to be able to hold all my drives. I currently have 5 drives, 3HDD and 2 2.5 drives. and i plan to get 2 more really soon, so the case needs to hold them as well. The h440 that i have now cannot have water cooling and hdds at the same time, well not to the extent that i need. and putting a 360 rad up front will remove nearly all hdd space.

Max case specs:

No more than 24 inches tall

No more than 24 inches deep

And no more than 12 inches wide.

These cannot be exceeded because of the space around my pc.

Lastly cost.

I was originally going to buy a external drive enclosure and migrate all my drives to it but that will cost around $180 and then im left with my h440 that can support a 360 and a 280 rad. and that wont be enough for sli and my oc on my 5820k. with cpu temps as they are now with a 280 rad then i know that adding a 360 wont be enough for 2 980tis.

If the new case meats all the requirements then ill be willing to do about $250. less will be better though.

Requirements

Supports 2 or more 360 rads and at least another 240 or 280, Bare minimum is 3 rads.

Meets Size requirements above

Able to have up to 5 3.5inch drives and 2 2.5inch drives inside the case

Optional

Silent but not a deal breaker if it isnt.

If you had the wiggle room to be an inch or two taller I'd say the Phanteks enthoo primo would be the perfect case, but it comes in at a higher price at 250 and isn't optimized for silence.  Any case you get is going to be fairly massive to house all those rads. If you could go with just two 360s than the define s would be a good choice.

Honestly the desk is 26 inches off the floor so it probably would fit but the problem would be that it wouldn't breath on the bottom. ill look more into that one tho

A Define R5 can fit a 360 up top, 280 in front, and a 240 in the bottom.

The define r5 is basically the same size as the h440.... but will not fit the drives so im still left with a problem

Im looking more for a full sized case and not a mid tower

The Phanteks enthoo primo doesn't need to breath on the bottom. The psu draws air from the side ;)

Psu. unless its mounted weird or upside down then it will require air from the bottom. do like that it comes in a red and black edition though.

If you remove the feet off of the Thermaltake X71, you might be able to fit it under your desk.

Im liking this case just the only thing that worries me is the top IO ports. even with the feet off it will be less that an inch from the desk. basically all the usb and power buttons will be unreachable. I guess i could pull the case forward a bit more but that will take quite a bit more room and more the pc closer to me

Stick some risers under the desk to make it 2 inches higher? Haha.

cant. desk is custom built into a closet. Its bolted to the wall in about 7 places. bringing it up any at all will be near impossible and require alot of work

Not a ideal situation for sure. A USB 3 hub might make it easier so you only have to reach for the power button and not have to plug anything in. That Thermaltake case seems pretty ideal for the amount of stuff you need to stuff in it. Cheap too.

yea the amount of space i have is ridiculously small, not many people can say that they have a triple 2560x1440 with a 40inch 1080p uptop setup in a closet lol.

More like 250 British pounds, so $360 before shipping. I love the case too...do it!

oh your right...... damn lol only over $100 more than the budget. may have to save for that though and get the custom engraving or something.

yea. I looked into that and the Thermaltake X71 as well as a few others like the 900d and the define s. only the Phanteks and the Thermaltake meet the requirements. The thermaltake just didnt look good to me, least the front didnt. I do like the Phantek but the problem is the height. it cant be shortened and it has top facing IO. Really like that you can put 2 480 rads in there and still have drive space left. Also like that it has color choices. Red and black is my theme so it would match well. It really looks like it has most of my things needed but the height i too high. it will be up against the desk (making the top rad useless since it wont be able to breath) and on the floor so i wouldn't be able to use anything in terms of the front usb. which i use often. At the moment im looking into relocating some things in order to get it to fit. Will require a lot of work to shift my deskup end likely will require repainting and moving brackets. If i cant find anything else though that will be the case i go with
