This forum hates those corsair cx psu's.. you'll catch some grief for that :)

 

Otherwise overall looks like a decent budget gaming build.

People will recommend the 390 instead of a 970, but just stick with the 970.

If it was me personally, I would sacrifice the 970 for a 960 or 380, and go with a cheaper case to try to get that cpu/mobo/ram to a skylake i5/ddr4 configuration

Go Skylake. It might not be a bad idea to get a cheaper case to get a bigger SSD or a K-series i5 with a decent aftermarket cooler instead.
