Hi!

Sorry, Newbie here. I will be building my first PC soon, joining the PC MASTER RACE. I just have a quick question. Based on some forums I've read, some B85 Motherboards doesn't support Haswell and Haswell Refresh Processors out of the box. Does my Motherboard (ASUS B85 PRO GAMER) support my Processor? (I5 - 4460) without having a bios update? If not, Is it possible to update the Motherboard using the same CPU?

Thanks in Advance!

~ Regards

that i5-4460 isn't compatible with B85 Pro Gamer as of BIOS 0202

you will need a cheap Haswell CPU to do the flashing

because for your board

you still need to go into BIOS to update it.

only the Higher end version like the ROG and Pro and WS board support the USB BIOS flashback without CPU
