Laptop recommendation +/- $1000

Looking for gaming laptop at about 1000 dollars

-Large screen

-No red or green accents

 

I will only be using this laptop as a desktop so keyboard, track pad comfort are not taken into consideration.

Please give your recommendations

its very minor, i have been eyeing this for quite a while because it is so well regarded but very reluctant because of the red edges on the trackpad and red speaker grill. I know its kinda stupid but it is quite expensive and i wouldn't want to hate it afterwards

I'd say these are rated for specs and features and linus haven't actually reviewed them yet

But he still had the guts to put them in a top 5 list. I might trust Linus a little to blindly, but I don't think you'll be disappointed going for one of them.

true enough, im struggling to justify the prices of the laptops though, im waiting for my current one to die so that i can get one with confidence

Don't we all... Ultimately I'd say go for a desktop and then set up some kind of remote access like suggested in your other topic. Or as I said in the other topic you made, make a backpack for your desktop.  

 

I had an Asus laptop before though if that matters and I was pretty happy with it all around, however I have heard some negativity about them aswell so, but it might be worth looking into. You ofc also have Alienware (BUT PRICE) MSI which seems to be doing quite well in the scene I have however no experience with them. Multicom is a Norwegian company that makes them on demand, but they cost, and I don't know if they ship outside of Norway even. Sorry I don't have too much to contribute.

The only red is that stupid red line at the speaker grill. When closed it would look very professional looking.
