GPu issue

I have very basic issues with trying to record games using either OBS or XSPLIT. 

OBS has an issue with screen flickering and wierd colours flashing across the screen.

XSPLIT is just a black screen and I can't get past that.

I've tried looking at youtube tutorials, forum guides and messing around with it myself but I've had absolutely no luck with it at all. :(

The GPU i have is an AMD Radeon r9 380 and the cpu is a amd fx 8350 8-core.

I thought the problem might just be my GPU?

Help us out please?
