That's a damn good build, thank you - the reason I want to change case is literally because my current one is old and its not got the best airflow.

I very much like the fact that I can get 32GB of RAM and the 970, however so thank you very much :)

and "cough" "really loud big cough" a 6 core i7 for rendering 9_9

Alright, so later on this year I intend to upgrade my current AMD PC (below) to intel and I need some guidance towards my choices.

I intend to use the build for both gaming and graphics/rendering, primarily CS:GO and the Adobe Suite.

My current specs are:

 - MB: Asus MA5 LE R2.0

 - CPU: AMD FX6300

 - Memory: 16GB HyperX Fury DDR3 (4x4GB)

 - Graphics: EVGA GTX 960 4GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+ (I intend to keep this card)

 - PSU: Corsair CX750 (I intend to keep this as well)

 - Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black)

 - CPU Cooler: Some unbranded potato (Not stock)

 - Netis wifi card (Intending to keep this as well)

The upgrades I would like to bring in are shown below:

I feel as though this is a good upgrade, but I'm not sure which is why I'm here to get advice from arguably more knowledgeable people.

The LED fans and cable mod extension kit are simply to fulfill my OCD :')

Thank you for your time, Tom.

ok this doesn't seem right to me, you have some nice stuff in there but you are spending £280 on case and cooling. That's quite a lot, whats wrong with your current case?

Just a suggestion, but I would sell your current GPU (around 100 - 150 on fleece bay) and do something like this for rendering etc:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  (£328.98 @ Ebuyer)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  (£26.99 @ Novatech)
Motherboard: MSI X99A SLI PLUS ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  (£174.29 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  (£113.51 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Transcend SSD340 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (Purchased For £0.00)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (Purchased For £0.00)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card  (£268.98 @ Amazon UK)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  (Purchased For £0.00)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (Purchased For £0.00)
Total: £912.75
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The extra money will come from your gpu sale. You can better cooling and certainly a better PSU later (CX aint great)

Get that CX out of there before I throw a tantrum, or do you WANT your PC to suffer cause you paired high-end components with one of the worst branded PSUs on the market?

100% agree with you on that - I bought the CX a couple of years back when I had next to no clue on what I was doing, and I heavily regret it

Well, the good part of our little witchhunt that occured over the past year on various forums is that Corsair are making a new revision of the CX and hopefully improving it to the point where it's at least on the level of the S12II and XFX TS
