I am wanting to buy plants vs zombies garden warfare 2 but the specs my brother has are 

 

Q6600 3GHz overclock, 4GB DDR2 RAM, GTX 950. Will it play at 720P 30FPS as he is only 9. Thanks

With a 950? Easily.  You'd probably have no issues running it 1080p.

I ran Battlefield 3 on 4GB DDR2.  You will be fine.

It will play just fine with those specs, pretty sure more than 720p and also more than 30fps. Don't worry about the RAM, it's not going to make any noticeable difference at all.

Also the PCI lane is the 1 which is old compared to the 3.0 would that make much difference. Thanks

PCI-e 2.0 will be fine.  Most cards don't even come close to bottlenecking on it.

Not that slow.  It'll still handle modern games like a champ.  Now if he were on a core 2 duo on the other hand.... yeah.  might be too little.  That said, I ran BF3 on a machine with a worse CPU, so I don't think that PvZ Garden Warfare can do any worse.

i got a phenom 2 x4 955 black edition

 

its cheeper than the q6600 (waaaaaay cheeper) and performs waaaaaaaaaay better

 

but i can just about get 60fps in call of duty black ops in ultra 1080p

 

but i also have a fury x

 

its running in pci-e 2.0 16x

 

this guy is running it in pci-e 1.0 16x

 

the fact he has ddr2 ram is a good thing,, it should give him way faster speeds than ddr3 or ddr4 accessing stuff even if its transfer rate is low

 

plants and zombies isnt a demanding game i dont think

 

he should be fine though
