I need 5v 2a to power a screen

Guest

I couldn't get anything to work to power a screen that goes with my raspberry pi. I tried an apple ipod charger which said it outputs 5v @ 2.4A, but that didn't work either. Would the usb cable I'm using be the problem possibly?

The small USB outlet chargers from Apple usually are only capable of 1amp unless your using the larger ones for IPads which I believe can give up to ~2.5amps. Try using another charger or a power adapter from the wall directly.
