editing Editing Help Please!

So I am trying to get my video to render 720p and fit w/ no black bars...

My monitor is 1440x900 is there anyway to do this or do i need to record things in windowed mode at 1280x720?

When you say 'fit' what do you mean? Anyway, it doesn't matter what res your monitor is. Video resolution works differently, it is scaled up and down depending on the type of screen, that's what the aspect ratio is i.e: 16:9.

it wont render at i guess 16:9 ratio.... without having black bars

do i need to just record at a different window size?

In your editing software, make sure that your project is the same resolution as your monitor

what do you mean my 'black bars'? on the sides or top and bottom?

1280 by 720 is an aspect ratio of 16 by 9... so if you set it to 1280x720p you have an aspect ratio of 16:9
