Ok, so to start, getting windows ten for my phone and external harddrive. Looking in device manager, I get the "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)". Now odd thing, the external haddrive still works just fine, can transfer files back and fourth (WD My Passport Ultra, if it matters) with zero issues, even though that code is there. As for the phone, the computer wont show it as a storage device.

I've made sure the phone is in MTP ( Galaxy Note 5)

I've deleted drivers

I've downloaded the drivers from Samsungs website.

The option to roll drivers back is grey'd out. (although I have no idea if the computer ever recognized my phone correctly)

I've tried different cables plus another computer.

On the other computer, both the EHD work fine and phone work fine while both being displayed properly in device manager.

On my main PC, it shows the phone was Samsung Mobile MTP Device, on my laptop, it displays it by the name I given the phone.

While this isn't that big of a deal, I'd still like to figure it out. Anything I've found online is generally about a disk drive giving a code 19. I do not have a disk drive installed. Any help appreciated.

Fixed the problem, feel a little dumb now. For anyone who may have the problem in the future, just go into start, or search, type in toubleshooting, view all, hardware and devices and then click next. Simple haha.

It worked..  I can't believe that ****ing worked..  I'm beside myself in disbelief..

Don't feel dumb.  Microsoft troubleshooters aren't worth dick 999,999 times out of 1,000,000.  They're there to humor (or console) those otherwise helpless users that have no access to administrator-level resources.
