PSU Shroud Material Help

Can someone please tell .e if I'm able to purchase this at 0.018inch and bend it to a pau shroud?

1/50th the width of a thumb shouldnt be a problem.

 

i wouldnt get started on it without having metalworking experience and the necessary tools tho. steel is very had to work with. (i'd almost say you *need* a clamp to properly bend the steel)

Why not use a sheet of Acrylic?  You can literally hang it off the edge of a table and heat it up to bend it.

I agree I would choose aluminum or acrylic over 304 stainless but this is annealed so it should bend OK the only thing I don't like about it is how crazy thin it is. This just flat will be more like a sheet of paper and make that cool noise when you hold it from one and and wave it back and forth

As mentioned unless you have a metal brake you may not be able to get a perfect 90 degree bend with stainless steel but a more rounded corner since it's a fairly hard metal even though it is annealed.
