Microcenter return without receipt?

Has anyone ever done it? I see that you can do it without a receipt if you have their insider membership, but I lack one  If I registered for one now would it still be valid? Or does it have to be before you buy the item you want to return?

I think you need a receipt in case you need to RMA something, you should give them a call

They have a copy of the receipt with the serial number on it. They should also have it on your account.

Did they not ask for your number when you bought it? Every store I buy from asks you. But they should be able to look up the S/N

pretty sure they didn't, but I'll try to call them tomorrow and ask

If you dont have any way to prove that the item was purchased there, i.e. the receipt, there is absolutely no way they will take it back. Most places wont let you return an item without a receipt even if you do have an account with them especially if its an expensive item.
