Been there done that. You dont understand. the braided cable of this headset is complete utter garbage and i can't understand how nobody mentioned this in any review out right now. no matter what you do, the cable tangles up in a matter of seconds.

Untangle the cable, and pin it down.

Heat the cable up to a high temp.

I've owned the Hyperx Cloud (first version) for about a month or so. A few days ago the headset wire has become

extremely tangled up and no matter what i do to uncoil it, it automatically tangles up again and again

So much so, that the braided cable is starting to tear and the inner wire is starting to rip apart. If this continues the headset will

cease functioning and I have no clue how to fix it. I was quite surprised because there has not been one single reviewer

talking about this big problem with the headset (not even Linus made note of the super shitty braided cable?).

If anyone has any suggestions with how to deal with this annoying braided cable please help me out before i toss this headset in the garbage

(I have wire OCD and this is driving me insane)

Nope the headset stays plugged into my pc at my desk. Literally never moves. The room is somewhat dry yes.

Hmm. It sounds like the headset is being put down the opposite of the way its being picked up. Over time, this can begin to effect the rolling of the cable.

Try unplugging the cable, and running your hand all the down it. from the top of the headphone, to the end of the connector.

dipping my headset cables in water eh? sounds like something i'd mess up. What about the part of the cable that shows a bit of tearing? Can that also be put in water?

I wish I read this before buying them. The sound quality is brilliant but the mic cost about 10 pence from China and the cable looks curlier than the spaghetti I had for dinner.

They are criminally bad. Don't buy them.

Dude, i had the same problem. i was reading this post of yours when my cable is twisted. i didn't get any help here so i tried to fix it myself by hand. and suddenly my headset cable went off the soundcard (im using hyperx cloud 2, you can plug your headset directly to ur pc (no 7.1), or plug it to the soundcard then to your pc (7.1)). it went off like kinda hard. but suddenly the cable is not twisted anymore. i couldn't believe what i saw. it just fixed itself.
