Hi. I am starting a gaming channel on youtube and have a disgust for gaming headphones but need something with really big soundstage and positional audio. I am considering buying a more high end pair of headphones in the 100 dollar range. I found the  superlux hd668b and ad700x. I wanted to know if they superlux 668s are built to last. Can any owners tell me what their opinion is on them and if they stack up to something like ad700xs or takstar hi2050s. Thank you in advance.

For the price, i prefer the superlux. I'm not a fan of the audio technica sound mixture.

I also know that at least Tek Syndicate loves the 668b

I have 668B's. They are mostly plastic and feel pretty cheap, but I've dropped them quite a few times a couple feet from the floor and they are still completely fine. Owned them  for about a year now. I do recommend getting replacement velour earpads from hifiman though. The 668B's aren't quite as open as ad700x's but still have pretty good soundstage, but has better bass in my opinion.

So how big a difference is the soundstage from hd668b to ad700x

Yes very big the AD700x has a really really big soundstage just like the K612, they are amazing to play fps games with since you can pin point everything so easily.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

The AD 700x is the clear winner when we talk soundstage, sound quality. The 668B should not even be on your list if you can get the AD700x for the same or about the same as the 668B.
