Thank you for the feedback, I am buying with Amazon gift cards since I live next to a convenice store. I get money on Christmas and New Years. It has been piling up, and I haven't used it other than the mouse pad which is used for gaming.

Well that is nice. I have nothing of such where I am.

But, doesn't matter, ask permission from your parents.  Anyway, do what you want, don't say I didn't warn you.

Online or not, build trust first.  I agree with what you said.

Personally, the way I have done it, back in the days when I was a younger, is that I printed my shipping list. Showed it to my parents, and after 1 month of talking back in forth, I most got what I wanted. Never had a problem.

That's the thing , The argument are the biggest headaches because of my online shopping endeavors. When i was a bit more younger , I did some shopping from Massdrop and oh boy was that a learning experience. Ordering from america is a storm of itself. And sense my shopping items from local web shops and Europe are deemed worthless to the eyes of my parents back ion the day . I had problems of the items i wanted because they accused me of buying worthless items and rejected at the idea of my shopping endeavors.

This is why i am now forbidden to shop online ever again.

As for @DevoChip , Take my advice kid , read my little story and think, You can spend your money how ever you want , I dont care but listen to this , If you do online shopping , Be rational , Very rational. Think very carefully , If the item that you are going to buy is going to get a lot of heat and smack from your parents , Do not, i and i cant emphasize this enough , Do not buy it.  Its better to buy 1 or 2 stuff per year than non at all.

Why can't you just talk it out with your parents? That seems like the sensible thing to do. If it's your own money being spent on a reputable place like Amazon, then what's the problem?

  • 3 weeks later...

Whoops accidental quote, anyway...

According to Amazon's ToS you need to ask your parent's permission although I somewhat doubt they'll check as it's not exactly in their best interests to prevent people from making purchases. They're just covering their arses if someone tries to sue. If it's your money and you just ask if you can buy a mouse-pad I'm sure they'll be reasonable enough to let you. If not could you just ask a friend to buy it for you?

I want to buy peripherals online with my own money. Will Amazon require a signature at certain point in money? Like If I spend 150, will it require a signature, because my parents would wrekt me if they find out.

no. unless you specifically say you want to sign for the package they will just drop it on your doorstep.
