ram compatibity??

can i merge a samsung 4gb 1600MHz DDR3 With a Crucial 8GB 1600MHz??

 

P.S this if for a laptop so its SODIMM.

make sure its the same CAS latency and voltage and then hopefully you should be good but you never know with ram. you can return it if not

Yup, as long as the RAM is the same latency and voltage it should be good to go. They're also the same frequency so you're fine there.

Probably not really recommended but I've never seen that kind of crap fail. Some of the purists here might take issue with this though..
