I'm thinking about doing some game streaming and/or recording so I'm looking into getting a capture card. I want to do 1080p 60fps if at all possible but after some testing, my 3570k isn't quite up to snuff. My question is if I get a capture card, will it take some of the load off my CPU? The card I'm looking at is the Elgato HD 60 pro and it says in the description it encodes the video into H.264, which if true, and if it does it on its own, would free up a lot of CPU resources and save me from having to get a 4790k or a whole new streaming system. Help is appreciated, thanks LTT forum!
