basically, how many times your screen refresh the image on it per second

the higher the number, the faster it refreshes

 

this means smoother image for the user (assuming your gpu can push such fps)

 

though most people cant tell the difference between 120hz and 144hz, but some people can

100hz means that the monitor can display 100 frames per second

144hz means that the monitor can display 144 frames per second

165hz means that the monitor can display 165 frames per second

damn i was looking at Asus monitor the 9q and their 34inch rog  don't know what to buy

it depends on what games you like to play

and if you're just playing it casually or competitvely

 

because higher refresh rate monitor tends to be TN panel, which doesnt really have good colour reproduction

 

personally i prefer using 60Hz IPS panel than 144hz TN, because i play RPG, which dosnt require lightning fast reaction

disregarding the price, i would go for the 348Q, because its IPS, 100Hz, and 21:9 1440p

While I'm one of these people who doesn't really care about colour reproduction as long as it's okay and the contrast isn't over the top

and 100hz is enough to please a peasant like me, though if i can afford the 348Q then im not a peasant lol
