How do i set up a USB HDD to do automatic backups of my OS drive?

Ok i bought a used system that has 2 120GB SSD in raid 0,while the drives are in great health according to crystal diskmark,i would like to set up a 500GB USB HDD to automaticly back up my OS drives,just in case something happens.

 

But i have never done something like this before,so i could really use some help. 

 

How do i do this?

Just google for back up programs, or schedule a task to clone the drives daily with 2 copies(one saved in case replacing one goes wrong, a fail safe).
