Hey! I am starting a gaming channel on youtube and hate gaming headphones. I am looking for my first actual pair of headphones to use. I would like them to be open back and have narrowed it down to a few. I have around 360 bucks to spend so i will take reccomendations. I want the biggest soundstage and best positional sound. I am planning on using these for pc and xbox one with a zalman mic on xbox and a snowball/yeti on pc. I heard certain people say the hd668b has wider soundstage with hifiman velour pads, but lots say the ad700x has better soundstage. I also dont really want to have to buy an amp. Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend the HD 668b, although if you can put in $90, you can get the Sennheiser HD 558 headphones. They're open-back, have a wide soundstage, a flat frequency response, and great build quality. One need only look at how much they share with their older sister, the Sennheiser HD 598, to know that they're a steal of a deal.

If you have 360 bucks, I don't know what you wouldn't get something in the $300 range like the AD1000x, Fidelio X2, DT990, etc.

Go check out the audio recommended gear thread stickied at the top, try and make an educated guess about what you want from your headphones with the various blurbs about the headphones.

Lucky for you, the $300 price-range is the most populated section, for good reason at that.

i do need to buy a snowball/yeti for good audio quality so 50-100 dollars on a desktop mic. So technically i am looking in the 200 dollar range. However i have heard ad1000 is similar to 700x. I may consider dt990 if its soundstage is better/on par with 700x and hd668.
