CPUz reports 1.15volts for the vcore. Bios is reporting 2.3volts!!! 3 5.5 and 12 rails all reporting normal. 5960X in a x99-M WS Asus motherboard with the most recent bios revision. Any ideas folks? Thanks.

ALso FYI Underload, CPU Z Reports 1.254 Volts but Aida 64 reports the 1.7 volts, or 2.3 volts if XMP is enabled.

many people with the asus x99 boards reporting this error. here (and the links provided in the thread) is all info we have on it https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?84041-Cpu-overvoltage-error

but, it looks like its mostly happening on the 5960x

tldr: asus doesnt give a damn and youre better off buying intels tuning plan if the board kills your cpu.
