I'm looking (for the neither near nor too distant future) for a case that's roughly console-sized, or a scaled-up case that shares similar proportions to itself.

The components I need to fit are:

ATX psu (EVGA 600B)

GTX 670, specifically, but a 'large' video card, generally speaking.

Room for three expansion slots for: double-width GPU (that is the GTX 670; I don't plan on having a second video card) and a wi-fi antenna.

MSI, H81M-E34 motherboard (mATX).

At least one WD Blue 1TB HDD, maybe two.

No dvd or cd drive, but one could be added in the future.

My current case is a Coolermaster Elite 361 Black. It's thin enough but also really deep and tall. My ideal case wouldn't be as tall or deep; maybe something I could put sideways on top of my desk (window on the side?).

Changing the components isn't exactly an option; I started with a poor build and am upgrading piece by piece.

Sugestions? Questions? Comments? Concerns?

I don't think there are any cases that are console sized that take a standard ATX power supply and would work with an mATX board. The majority of SFF cases that are that size have SFX pwoer supplies and use mini itx boards. I would recommend looking into Silverstone cases because they have several in that form factor that would work with mini ITX boards.

Motherboard - Gigabyte P67A-UD5 Processor - Intel Core i7-2600K RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws @1600 8GB Graphics Cards  - MSI and EVGA GeForce GTX 580 SLI PSU - Cooler Master Silent Pro 1,000w SSD - OCZ Vertex 3 120GB x2 HDD - WD Caviar Black 1TB Case - Corsair Obsidian 600D Audio - Asus Xonar DG

There really are no SFF mATX cases. The few slim ones that are available usually come with a built in power supply (low wattage too boot.)

For really compact builds you need an ITX board.  Otherwise your 'small' options are things like the Thermaltake Core V21, or Coolermaster N200.

What about designs like
Silverstone SG13/SG12 that take mATX?

I mean cases that with all the hardware inside have no more space inside and like SG13 have PSU on top of CPU with space for All-in-One Water Cooling.

I don't get it why there is such an awesome BareBones case like SG13 for mini-ITX and there is no spin off to accomodate micro ATX mobos, except ones like SG12 that have to be bigger to have space for DVD drive...

I guess my idea behind the console-sized case was a small black box, with subtle aesthetic design, rather than a large black box with little aesthetic design (my current case).

This one is still shorter and not as deep, but a little wider. And I like the design of it, too. It's the DIY-F2-W.

Part of the reason I was hoping to get a case that might look good on a desk rather than under it was that the desk I have it in is a big, not ornate, but somewhat decorative thing (not my style, but my parents' style) and my PC is currently in a built-in cabinet under it, where there's no airflow place for the air to go unless I keep the door open. So I'm hoping that the DIY-F2-W at least has better case ventilation than my current Cooler Master elite 361, which only has one fan built into the top.
