I know that a system backs up the computer but what does it really backup? my windows?, my recovery drive? my entire computer?, windows install files?

How big is a system image? is it the same size as the recovery drive? the windows install files?

does the system image backup the bootloader or use the windows bootloader.

would i be able to restore windows through a system image? or even reinstall windows?

it needs the same space that your system is currently using

and no you cant use a bajillion DVDs, you need to use an external hard drive

windows backup lets you choose that folders it backs up

but i think windows 10 is different and has some sort of file history instead, so idk how you would do that on win 10

would this mean that a cheap 250GB or a 500GB external drive is ok?
