Small upgrade?

GeorgeKellow

I have a asus gtx 960 strix (2gb). I want a little bit more performance for my money, should I sell that card and buy a 4gb r9 380?

EDIT- if I did get another card it would be the MSI 4GB model

Check the compatibility. First get a stable quote for what you will sell the 960 for and then look for the card. Get the card using your own money and if everything turns out okay then sell the 960... If it does not, then return the 380.

I could get about £110 for it :P

R9 380 is somehow like GTX 960

Just like R9 390 is somehow like GTX 970

I would spend a bit more money and get 970 or 390.

I don't think it's worth to go from 960 to 380, but that's just my opinion.

For a small boost you could look into the R9 380X. R9 380X on Newegg. I think you would see a better perfomance increase then getting a 380. Also, it is only a few pounds more than the 380.

I don't know if MSI offers a 380x though.
