Windows Installation Error(Again)

Here is the topic from before for people to get some context. So, I took the advice that I should get a USB drive and put windows 10 on it. I did and then I get the same error as before, saying it has some missing files. I got error code: 0x8007025D

What are you currently upgrading off of?

If you are previously running Windows than listen to this.

You may see a problem with a previous error in the OS and if you have everything backed up then do a quick reset of your computer so you get a fresh OS.

Setup your computer and then....

Go search for Microsoft's media creation tool; you may have to login to some things for Microsoft but you should be prompted with download which you should. Once you open click Upgrade this PC and then fill it the information needed and let it download. It will restart a couple times which is normal and you should be prompted to setup Windows 10.

If you are running an empty or different OS then listen to this...

Use the Media Creation tool previously spoken about and follow the same instructions but do not select Upgrade This PC and make the external drive.

On the PC boot off oft his drive and you should be off to races of being spied on!

P.S. You will need a serial code, which you can find online for a couple months.

Thanks Microsoft.

First, you don't have to keep creating topics. Stick to this one.

Second, you used the ISO from Microsoft.com and put it on the flash drive, correct?

If so, it seems that the hardware of your computer is part of the issue. Try using a different hard drive (or SSD) and unplug all other storage devices from the PC while it's installing.

probable error is:

  • using a USB 3.0 port (should be using a USB 2.0 port)
  • OS media is corrupt both thumb drive and disc
  • drive formats are not compatible

I downloaded the media tool form microsoft.com and then downloaded the ISO. I then downloaded another tool from microsoft to make the boot drive. Could that be the problem. I also did this from my old computer running Windows 7. I only have front USB 2.0 ports and the motherboard has 2 USB 3.0 and 4 USB 2.0 . Is it possible that the HDD is bad.

Hardrive is unlikely to be bad since the installation is missing files. Do not use the ISO itself because sometimes it can fail (a lot) so try to use the Media Creation Tool to install it to itself. I also had to do a clean wipe of my PC to get Win10.

I no longer am able to get in to Windows to upgrade from there, I formatted my drive. (That's what I understood from the second qoute) I downloaded the ISO with the media tool and then used the USB boot tool thing, as I said before.
