I got this error while trying to re-install Windows 8.1. I'm re-installing because Windows, on start up was giving me errors saying a file was missing. I was told to just re-install Windows hereI have a picture attached here.

It's giving me error: 0x8007025D

I could use information/help quick as this is the main house computer.

How did you reinstall it? With the built-in reinstall function? Or with an external USB / Windows disk?

First thing I did was in the windows settings going to recovery>Reset and re-install windows(The one that erases everything)

Then it after a bit the computer gave me a message that: Reset failed, so I went to more options and went to my boot usb. It got to the windows install thing, put in the key and deleted the partitions that were on there. Then, minutes later it gave me the error in the image.

With another computer and a USB stick, follow  the steps at the bottom of this page:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Under 'Using the media creation tool' > Preform a clean install

(Download the tool at the top of the page)

Ok, I actually did that this morning with Win 8.1, so now I should do it with Windows 10, would I need a new product key.
