Steam controller calibration

So I picked up a steam controller  a few days ago been playing with it its not bad, the worst thing ive found for it was shooters, that being said ive been playing around with maxpayne and I am managing to dial things in. 

 

The only thing is im getting some...the best way I can discibe it is when aiming as pressure on points of my thumb change I find it changes the aim ever so slightly, im struggling to dial this out.

 

Does anyone know what im refering to/how to dial it out?
