GPU info needed

Go to solution Solved by Simon771,

For gaming use you say ... SLI and Crossfire will bring more problems than performance in most games.

I would go for single card. Eaither 980 ti or Titan X.

Check some youtube videos and forum discusions about SLI/crossfire ... not bad for benchmarking toget higher score, but in practical usage it's better to have single GPU.

At least that's what I hear from linus youtube videos and forums.

well if you think so, go for the titan x. have fun wasting money

you wont need 12gb vram for 1440p and hes using reference clocks for comparison. overclocked 980tis are running 300-400mhz higher on core, therefore outperform the titanx. sure you can oc a titanx too. but theres no gain in performance at all, youre just paying more for vmam you cant utilize (well ofc with 100 texture mods, if you really want to you can, but in most games you dont)

I just want something that can go threw years, so i don't mind wasting 400 dollars

Ok so i have my idea. And as i can see, everybody is telling me to never go with SLI, right?

Yes, and the Titan X. Everyone (including me) is recommending a single 980Ti.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

well its your money do what you want with it. its still a waste of money especially with pascal and hbm2 arround the corner. if you want a card that lasts for the next few years just wait for pascal. since hbm2 pascal cards will massively outperform maxwell.
