how to use nas outside of network

hello

i have windows server 2012 R2 as my nas controler and i need at use it outside of my network, for work and other stuff

is their any way of useing it outside of my network?

If you're using it as an FTP server, you can port forward port 20 and 21 from your router to the IP address of your Server 2012 machine.

If it's setup like a network share, well, I'm trying to figure that out for my server as well...
