so ive updated the bios on my asus z87 deluxe to the bios that it supposed to support the 4690k in the bios ive put on it, yet when i put the cpu in im getting qcode 0000 and a red cpu led, ie its not liking the cpu, any suggestions?

How did you update the BIOS? There's a specific way the BIOS must be updated in order for that to work. There's a BIOS updater that you have to use in Windows to get that to work. Also you will need to update you Intel management engine. To do this you will need to reinstall your old processor. Then update MEI then use the BIOS installer provided by Asus. Then you can install the 4690k.
