SRT + SSD boot drive

Go to solution Solved by mymouthandi,

I think you are better off just buying a bigger SSD for your boot drive. Having an SSD caching a hard drive when you already have an SSD as a boot drive is just overkill in my opinion. You could by a hybrid drive but I doubt it will give you a noticeable difference.

Would having 1HDD + 1SSD combined with Intel SRT for storage and another SSD as a boot drive have noticeable performance improvements? Or are responsiveness improvements only seen through OS (Windows) navigation. Since the boot drive is an SSD, would that mean there isn't any noticeable difference between this setup and one with just 1HDD for storage and 1 SSD for a boot drive.

It depends what's on your hdd. If you don't have anything like games or programs on it, you would barely notice.
