I've decided to turn my ancient bulk of turd down, and get a completely new rig, since I've pretty much got the cash on hands, and honestly, my current setup barely runs anything.
This is the spec I have right now:

Pentium E6700
GT 630

4GB DDR2 800

G31M mobo

What I'm planning to buy:

If you have any recommendations on different parts, different brands, please share. Also, I'm not planning to run @ 4K in the near future, but maybe 1440p in a year or so.

What do you think about my setup? Is it worth waiting for the new Pascal/Polaris GPUs? Would it be better to drop the i7 and get the i5 instead?
I feel like games are going to be developed towards multicore CPUs in the near feature, where the i7s would be ahead, plus it's always nice to have crapload of background applications handled better.

New part list I edited. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Zd97cf

Things I edited and why

CPU Watercooler/Fan -

1. You dont need a cpu watercooler if you dont plan on overclocking anytime soon.

HDD -

1. Dont know if it was a mistake but you should have a HDD for mass storage

2. I just went with a 1tb drive but you can always edit that and select the other options. (I do recommend getting WD Black series because they are knows for being great drives)

Case-

1. From what I see your theme is black and white? So I dont know why you would get a white and red case.

2. Has a window because if this was my build I would love to show it off.

PSU -

1. I know that psu is well known to be good and I havent heard anything about the one you had.

OS -

1. You didnt have one so I just threw in Win 10 if you want a different os just tell me and I can edit it in.

Optical Drive -

1. You need an optical drive to install the os and its always good to have a OD.

I didn't throw an HDD because I have one I'm planning to switch, plus adding a boot SSD on top of that. Same with with the drive, even though I'm using a flash boot drive (Win10 Pro).
As far as case, I was going for Zalman Z3 to actually not see the parts inside, but the NZXT Phantom was more appealing to the eyes (didn't know why I selected White/Red).

Why not a liquid cooler though? Yes, I'm not planning to OC in the near future, but having H105 already purchased I could do it right away if I needed to, plus the extra cooling would never hurt, right?

Since your only doing gaming and a few other things I dont see where you need overcloking to come in. I mean in the next 4 years I dont think you would need to upgrade. Hell Id even say 6-7 years but we never know what will happen in the future. I would recommend the CM MC Pro 5 because imo the Zalman Z3 doesnt look apealing at all and the pro 5 is pretty good quality.

But if you really wanna overclock get that watercooler and I would recommend getting this if you wanna overclock your gpu it would help alot and your system would look badass with the cpu watercooler and this gpu water cooler. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487144&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Video+Card+-+Nvidia-_-N82E16814487144&gclid=CjwKEAjwq6m3BRCP7IfMq6Oo9gESJACRc0bNKNsdrQihqbiXI3Dmktdeuhb9Wkoudv51ILIydi4SRhoCcyXw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I thought about getting watercooled graphics card, like the hybrid Corsair/MSI or the EVGA one, but those are unavailable in my country.

That is exactly why I'm going towards the extra bits of cooling performance I can get while at it.

we never know what will happen in the future

No the 980ti is better in most games. the furyx only beats the 980ti by like 2fps and thats not often at all. One more thing is you should get this psu instead because you might need the extra watts. https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220p20750x1
