NO SKYRIM PLS

Alright so I think I could be fkd. Now I've got 48 active mods, 58 installed and 59 total. I also have a total of plugins of 71. All active. I don't use any of the tools such as BOSS, LOOT, blablabla, I just use the default automatic plugin sorting from the nexus mod manager. There are a few updates available for the mods I'm using, but I don't think thats an issue since it ran fine about 2 days ago.

 

Now it crashes at the end of the first loading after clicking on continue on the main menu. the rotating object freezes and I need to reset my PC.Yesterday I installed a couple of mods I think I shouldn't have, which are

Did you run FNIS?  and XP32 Maximum Skeleton MUST be last to prevent follower mods or whatever else from overwriting it.

Well, you should. It's not like it is hard to use. Click sort and then scroll down the list to see if there are any conflicts. It tells you what doesn't work and links relevant patches and solutions. It takes most of the guesswork out of modding Skyrim. Not using LOOT is basically shooting yourself in the foot.

I don't understand enough to know where to put the LOOT files where NMM asks me to, so I just end up using the default tool, which I've heard is downright shite. So could I get a bit of an increased performance by using these tools? If so I sure will dwelve more into the subject cause right now my Skyrim's running at like a crash approximatly every 3 hours.

UNPB/7B master race.  Think it's safe to say a lot of people are running Schlongs of Skyrim or like mods.  Even going commando is better than wearing those filthy loin rags, if your character is running around in those vanilla fecal and urine stained underwear, then...

Well to be frank, you're either going to:

-figure out how to get LOOT to work

-spend more time figuring out your load order on your own

-Or, give up on modding skyrim.

 

There is only so much others can give tips/aid with, and recommending for you to use LOOT and the step guide is pretty much as good as it gets.  Not much point running around in circles reinventing the wheel if you're not utilizing the fundamental modding tools/methods made available to the community by those with far more expertise.

I was told by someone that it was integrated by default into the nexus mod manager, that's why I'm only asking now, after two week of playing my modded file, I thought that the default tool for sorting plugins and shites WAS LOOT. Now that I know it,s not Il'l effectively check the STEP guide, I might be naive(read stupid) but I'm not retarded

LOOT is in MO (Mod Organizer), at least an older iteration of it and it's not recommended to rely on it.  Don't believe it has been incorporated into NMM, at least it wasn't a year and a bit ago.  For NMM I had to d/l LOOT separately and run it separately outside of NMM to sort plugins if memory serves.  Where as LOOT is run within MO (in a sense), but is still a separate download.

 

I don't think you're naive, stupid or retarded.  Just inexperienced with modding skyrim, we've all been there.  Getting, using and understanding Loot is one of the more important initial steps

Yo I've just read part of the STEP wiki, but I've come to realize I would have to restart the whole save I've got. It's pretty stable now, I've managed to play 4 hours stratight with only a single infinite loading screen happening. So I'm wondering, since I'm like 30 hours into the game, if it's worth it to start all over? Like if It means I don't run into bloated files at a later point hell yeah but otherwise I would like to keep my savefile, y'know?

 

So yeah, d'you fell like it's Worth it to start all over? (and migrate to mod organizer as well)

After 30 hours I might have finished speaking to everyone in whiterun, so I'd still at the beginning.  I've started over (not by choice) after a hell of a lot more than 30hrs.
