It's time for a monster gaming rig.  My questions is, what should I put in it?  This will be solely for gaming.  No video rendering.  I want to know what I should do.  I have no brand biases, so I;m open to anything.  I mainly play fps (More realistic ones though), and am starting to get into RPGs.  Thanks in advance.

4000$? So you want to play in QHD or UHD? With a 980 Ti, you could play in FHD at 144Hz easily on the other hand on most games like Battlefield Hardline or Star Wars Battlefront, especially if your a super picky shooter person.

HKZeroFive build would work pretty well then, unless you want dual titan X's and you plan to overclock them. Of course, 2 of them and youd be over budget and unable to get a 4k monitor, so i say get what HK posted and try to find the cheapest, yet most acceptable 4k monitor out there.

Benchmarks also have shown that the 6700K can provide up to 20-30 frames more on very cpu demanding games, like GTA V or the Witcher 3, especially in QHD and FHD resolutions respectively, when oced at same clocks with a 5820K and still better than the 5960X. Theres a massive difference of 30 frames sometimes, in Far Cry 4 and i supose it could also be there on the Primal version. If you want full performance on games, the 6700K is the best option by far as of now. Overclocking isnt that hard, and some motherboard will help you greatly in doing it for you, almost.

Ok, That's really good to know.  I've always played on console, but I think it's time to go to pc.  I don't know a lot about this stuff (As you can see)

If you're gonna get that build, first of all, I feel awesome, and second, consider getting one of these:

Evga hybrid is very good, if your building a silent computer and want some room for graphics card overclocking and overhaul longevity. Zotac extreme amp is mostly because of its looks and fancy fan spinning Carbon armor and IceStorm talk show, but both will do great, but you wont be getting lower temps with the Extreme Amp over the Evga Hybrid :D. Altough i think the zotac one comes with higher clock speeds out of the box. Will be very minor tough, and if done properly the hybrid will surpass it by a small margin.

If you want to compare them more thoroughly :D

If it was me tough, id probably try to get 2 reference 980 Tis and apply EK waterblocks on them. With your computer budget, you can make a beast outside of this world, if your willing to take the shots at making it the best possible, with custom watercooling.
