Need an actual computer

Hello all,

 

I am in need of a computer quick I have been using a horrible laptop to do a lot of rendering (in which a 4 minute little gaming video took me 4 hours to render) and gaming where the screen was littered with red lines when I played games such as Rocket League and A Story About my Uncle. I have made other threads on this, but other people would hop on and argue, so lets get right into this!

 

1. Budget & Location

My budget is around the $800-$900 and quite possibly low $1000 but would love to stay out of it, and my currency is $USD

 

2. Aim

The aim of this build is editing videos and somewhat light gaming, I love to play smaller games like Cs Go but I would still love to get smooth playable fps on games like fallout 4. As well as possibly streaming.

3. Monitors

I will most likely be using one of my tv's that connect  through hdmi, or a low end monitor I find around the house

 

4. Peripherals

I will be needing an OS preferably Windows 10, and also a wireless network adapter because I am not in a position to go wired atm.

 

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am upgrading because my laptop is just not cutting it anymore and I believe it is long over due an upgrade

 

6. Things to note

You could just get an S340 rather than that case, just save money. Also that PSU isn't very good, nor does anyone need 16GB of RAM for gaming. I would go for something like this:

Ram: 16gb if u wanna stream and edit videos

Storage:

SSD: u can opt to drop this for now for lower budget and get one when you can afford it later

HDD: pretty much a must have

video card: pretty much the best u can get for your budget

case: just grabbed w/e is the first on the list lol, its a personal preference thing anyway

psu: one of the best psu you can get... 550W is enough

Thank you! For the motherboard how would I work the wifi, and with the OS are the other means reliable because I have been recommended some but i don't feel like I can trust them.

the motherboard's wifi will work like an ordinary wifi adapter, install the driver and the antenna and its done

all laptop comes with licenses, window 7 laptops have their licenses on a sticker

im not sure about windows 8 laptop... i heard they've fore gone with stickers and put the license in the motherboard, tough luck trying to get it

 

as for activating it on pc, just key in the 25 words on the sticker and you're done lol
