LinusTechTips Video Idea

Guest

This would be a video series called "{Insert PC Part} Explained". An example is "Power Supplies Explained". Linus would explain how a power supply works and what features to look for. What makes a power supply good and what makes a power supply bad. He would explain why a Logisys is much worse than something like an EVGA Supernova 650. Note: This Series would be aimed at First Time Builders. At the end of the video Linus (Or Luke) would give some suggestions for various price ranges. Similar to a buyers guide but Linus (Or Luke) talk about Power Supplies in general. I thought this would be a good idea but maybe I'm just out of my mind. Thoughts?

Would be great. Plus from Linus's recent vids it seems he's getting quite desperate, so this would be something good to do.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Sounds like a "fast as possible" to me, but maybe they could make a playlist of all their FAPs that are on a specific component like this (PSU, GPU, etc.) and fill it in by making a couple more if there are any major components that don't yet have a video.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

It does sound like a fast as possible but the LinusTechTips videos have been unpractical lately.

You mean you don't often have a need for pizza that's 10 degrees warmer than the room? :P

I'd actually prefer this to be non-beginner friendly, as Fast-as-Possible videos have this somewhat covered. Something more in-depth.

Intermediate builders looking for details, comparing what stats are important to look at, a few review sites that could help, with a few recommendations.

That would be cool too. I've learned quite a bit about PC Hardware recently, but it would definitely be nice for them to go really in depth into some stuff.
