Run program at startup but minimized

You should be able to change the settings for that shortcut to start minimized.

Is there a way to run a program at startup but have it start minimized? I use outlook 2013 for my school email but outlook does not pull new emails or provide notifications unless it is open. I have it setup to run on startup though it opens full size. Is there a way to run a program on startup but minimized? Outlook has no settings for opening on startup, I simply put a shortcut for outlook into the startup folder.
