Hey guys. I want to upgrade my peripherals and I wanted to run it by the world of the interwebs first ;)

MY CURRENT SETUP

  • 2 BenQ RL2755HM 1080p 27" 1ms TN monitors on a dual monitor arm (which sagged a lot over time)
  • Alesis M1 Active Studio Monitors
  • Steelseries Rival 300 CS:GO edition (they didn't have the normal one in stock)
  • Daskeyboard Model S with Cherry MX Browns, version before the function media controls (Purple Alphanumeric keycaps, stealth black numpad, Duck esc key coz I hate ducks, zinc attack on Titan keycaps for the top row of the numpad)
  • Glorious White Extended Mousepad
  • IKEA Fingal chair (squeaks like a motherfucker)

POSSIBLE UPGRADES

  • Switch the monitors for either a QNIX 1440p QX320QHD 32" 5ms AMVA (non pixel perfect) or add another BenQ (I've got a big desk)
  • get either another rival 300 in black or a Logitech Proteus Spectrum. (I like the feel of the 300 more but it feels like a waste to get another)
  • WASD keyboard with MX clears and stealth black keys (I don't like the gloss and I like cherry clears and whites but no one uses whites)
  • Battlebull Gaming Chair (not a popular brand but they are good and cheaper than a DX racer, look them up)
  • sennieser hd598 or. Audio technical athm50x. (I don't have dedicated headphones for my setup and use my Sony XB950bt)
  • Monoprice Tube Amp + Bluetooth Reciever (only $149)
  • wall mount the speakers (already have the brackets)
  • IKEA Alex add on unit to rise the monitors (too low without the monitor arms)

Tell me what you think and give me some advice and feedback please :)

I'm here to help people and have fun. Feel free to chat!

What type of games are you playing? If you are doing any racing games/ flight simulators I would recommend grabbing the third monitor (surround is glorious). Otherwise I would go with the 1440p display, maybe use the 2 1080s as secondary displays. I also recommend the g502. I personally love mine though peripherals such as keyboards and mice are really personal choices. As for your other hardware I would look at what pieces you still like and keep those. Theres no point in replacing something just for the sake of doing so.

I play a variety of games. A bit of racing but with a controller not a wheel. Some older and competitive stuff like DOOM II and CS:GO. I'm a hardcore multitasker though so I'm wondering if the triple monitors would be worth it for that...

I have a question, how are the side grips of the SS Rival holding up?

Great so far. I've only been using it about a month but the side grips are seemingly the most solid part of the mouse. The whole build feels a bit cheap but I can tell you, it is fantastic plastic. The sides grips are great though. Quick scoping skrubz with ease :)

Replace any mouse with the Zowie ZA11!

Zowie fanboy here.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Same, height and all. It took me ages to find a mouse that fit my hands when I palm gripped it. The Zowie ZA11 was the first one I found and I instantly fell in love with it.

I know this might be asking too much, but can you take a picture?

As for what you want to upgrade, I think the chair would give you comfort which I think would be a bonus in the long term. I would get the keyboard if you are having any problems with your current one or don't like it.  As for headphones, get the 558's, as I heard they have the same drivers as 598's. Get the Alex drawers since I think it lets you hold things in the drawers or even on top of it (really convenient and nice storage). Wall mount speakers if necessary.

If I were you I think a chair, a keyboard, and the headphones should be priority, then after that I think the Alex's drawers would be really nice. Buy things you really need, then after that, I think it is up to you on what you want.

I've kind of ton it all down so I can use my desk for other things while I'm rebuilding my computer. I have some pics. One right after I set it up and one recently after the monitors sagged and I started using the speakers to hold up one of them... Sorry for the bad picture quality. Also, the Alex drawer is to raise the monitors because im tall and looking down hurts my neck. As for the keyboard, it's not that I don't like it, I just want to try some other switches. I thought about putting whites in the Das but I don't think I'm up to it. So I'll settle with clears...
