AMD FX-4350

0. You can't OC with the stock cooler

AMD FX-4350 - A four core cpu with a 4.2Ghz base clock. I would like to know how far I can overclock this with the stock heatsink before I run into some unsafe thermal issues. My guess is around 4.3-4.5 but as I have not tried this before, I do not know. (The AMD FX-6350 and the AMD FX-8350 are the higher-cored versions of this processor and should have similar results (at lower clocks, seeing as how they have lower base clocks, but the increase should be of a similar increase))

It's like food for the soul, but it's a drink for the body.

that's nice to know. I guess I'll move on xD. Thanks mate.

Well, you can but you'll end up with absurd temps. Stock coolers aren't meant for OCing - i7 4790K can't even hold stock clocks with the stock cooler

If you really want to overclock you can probably get a larger aftermarket fan cooler (if your case size permits) for around £20. This will bring your temperatures down alot from the fiery temperatures of an overclocked chip on a stock cooler. This will give you much more room for overclocking. I myself have a core i5 6600k which I know is different but with a big fan cooler I got a stable overclock of nearly 4.5Ghz from a base of 3.5Ghz (turbo 3.9 Ghz). Temperature never went up.
