Well I have this machine right now as second computer well I have a mechanical drive in motherboard's sata2 port (p6t deluxe v2)well I want to update with an ssd but it doesn't used right by mobo (I mean doesn't use the drive at full speed) so am in dilemma should I buy a sata3 controller (I prefer a raid one to buy to cheap 60gb ssd and raid them) or one of those m2 drives in pcie cards?is any of two solutions workable and of course bootable?

thanks for your time,

Nick

Even on SATA 2, you should still see considerable increases to boot and program launch times, and all around general responsiveness, the biggest thing lacking being maximum throughput, which is typically only reached on large file transfers. For the lowest cost option to zip up your system, SATA 2 is still a good bet.

If it's file transfer speed you're after, there's currently no substitute to a PCI-E based or M.2 drive.

Also is it possible to make a sata3 controller bootable or not? Also if I use to 60gb ssd in raid0 in sata 2 motherboard ports can I take 6gbps (3+3) from every ssd?

thanks for your help
