Does the CPU have any visible damage?

The Cpu doesnt seems to have visible damage on the top and im not sure about the cpu pins

This isnt my build but my relatives so i dont have access to it right now

Well, that's really where the issue would lie. If there's no visible damage, then I would call the board DOA.

The board was DOA..

I checked newegg, According to Newegg's review most likely the board DOA but im affraid about the cpu pins if maybe anything happened to it

I would say, most likely nothing happened to the pins. However, we cannot know for sure if the CPU's pins are not visible.

If it's any help, I have pulled an AMD CPU out of its socket while it was locked, and the CPU was fine.

The CPU was stuck to the cooler from thermal paste, and I ended up pulling it out of the socket.

I'm currently following this thread so next time to you respond, perhaps with a photo of the CPU, I'll see it regardless if you quote me or not.

Yup first time amd cpu with Pins so i forgot to unlock the socket then i unlocked it with the cpu in the socket

When socket is unlocked, installing the cpu, the pins will fall into the holes due to the weight of the cpu.

So basically your cpu is just hovering on top of socket.

So did you force it in?

Or put cpu fan on it already without noticing the cpu was never in the socket?

flip the cpu if the pins are all straight nothing happened to them, if they are bent in the slightest you can try using a mechanical pencil and bend them back with it.

Those AMD pins are pretty beefy, they are probably fine.

This sounds like the possible problem. I did a similar thing the other week, I did pull the lock up but the pins did not fall all the way into the holes and it did not boot. Tried everything until I went to RMA the board and the cpu came up with the heatsink. Put it back in and it worked fine.
