Second guessing my VR choice

currently im more interested in the vive but without them being on the market and seeing how they both work with software and regular games (think your cockpit games that already have VR support/testing it) anything right now is an assumption and nothing more on anyone's part. 

 

like HD DVD it might be months or even years before we figure out which of these routes is "right"

When I watch a video like this it makes me feel like Ive made the wrong choice

As the video itself says, its a demo

 

it doesnt mean much, esp when nobody has even seen rifts motion control solution.

In my opinion, Oculus Rift has more polished and fleshed-out content at this point, while the Vive has more potential due to the greater focus on room-scale experiences as well as having an onboard camera. The Rift is also cheaper, so I think it is probably the better investment for the majority of gamers at this point.

I haven't tried VR yet and want to so I would say both are as good as the other

Just keeping this here as a My vote goes to the Vive. Valve are just more resourceful than Oculus

I'm sticking with Oculus. I don't have the room for room scale VR and the rift can do standing VR just fine, it just doesn't track you in that space. Valve have already announced that the chaperon will work to a degree with the rift. Also i'm concerned, despite Devs showing off rift standing games previously, I haven't seen any Vive seated games, Sims etc. I believe the makers of Project cars for example have stated they currently have no plans to support the Vive. Essentially though, for me it boils down the fact I don't have room for Vive's key selling point.
