Soooooo, I'm scared, i just recently began to notice that steam stop downloading at about halfway mark, along with the writing to disk to stop, and i know its not my internet because i have all firewall off, and my YouTube and Skype persists. I'm afraid my HDD is failing. I' would love some correction, but so confirmation wouldn't hurt i guess...

I know the picture says 444b/s but, that only happens for about 20 seconds then goes away.Capture.PNG.6871b481a50f9e9fabf087ab3b51

More likely to be internet than HDD failure but I'd just stoke your fears because that means you have no backup of your data.

So your hard drive is always doomed please back up your data (Ideally minimum two copies).

Both will fail eventually and you should never fear a hard drive failure if you have regular backups. More directly for your issue have you checked the SMART parameters to see if there is anything odd about the write errors or timeouts. Generally though the operating system itself will get very angry if the drive starts acting up.
