Hey Everyone! So, I'm kinda on a (Canadian) budget here, and i need help cutting some costs on my build without changing the GPU, CPU, or Case. Thanks for any help!

You can also shave quite a few bucks by getting a Windows 10 license throught reddit and stuff, look around the forums you'll see a lot of places to get licenses at lower then 30 moose knuckles.

If you intend on mostly gaming you don't need such a high end CPU, an i5-6600k will be perfoming as much as the i7. If you intend on rendering some stuff and videos at a later point tho, keep it, it's going to come in handy.

Nah, the 6700k is a better gaming cpu than the 6600k, But I agree that it's a reasonable place to try to trim a few bucks, especially given Canadian prices. It's still an extremely strong gaming cpu, and a little better than a 4790k on average.

Yah depending on the games you'll play that CPU might come in handy. Not gonna happen for me tho, I strongly hate strategy games and stuff, so that's why I went for that chip over the i5. That and the pricetag of course.
