No cable connected???

Alright guys,

 

I got a big issue. Just installed my 970 ans the light has come on to say it's connected to power. I've then connected to my monitor via HDMI cable and turned on. It says no cabl connected. I've tried it all ways round... Got any suggestions?

SIlly question: Is the HDMI cable plugged into the GPU? Does the HDMI cabe work for other displays?

The light on the STRIX to show it is properly connected

Yup, into gpu and idk about other ones I have no means of checking

Does it work with your onboard graphics connected to the same display? Does your monitor have multiple HDMI connections? 

 

edit: doesn't look like you have onboard  HDMI. do you have a DVI/displayport cable instead that you can try in place of the HDMI cable?

It does work with onboard graphics and I do have hdmi abd I know where it connects and I do have those ports but no cables
