Hard drive problem

I have a WD Blue. When I use to use it on my old system whenever I tried to install a new OS it also gets a blue screen after installation. Does this mean it is a failed hard drive? If not how can I fix this?

run sfc /scannow in command prompt

then run chkdsk in command prompt

make sure that in the BIOS your hard drive is running in ACHI mode, this screwed me for 6 months on one particular computer

also use memtest86 and listen for unusual clicking noises coming from the hard drive

S.M.A.R.T. software test in BIOS can check the hard drive too.

Try unplugging it and replugging it in

try diferent sata port

try enabling AHCI in the bios
